You probably know how sometimes there is a preconceived notion of the random food, as well as refuse to touching that based on which preconception? That was me and also blue cheese dressing. My personal scorn to the popular salad topping has been based strictly on my experience with the store-bought bottled selection of Blue Cheese dressing, and I’d never known any different. To this day, the thought of that makes me a little bit hurt.
Original Recipe Yield 2 1/2 cups
Ingredients
3/4 cup sour cream
1 1/3 cups mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
Directions
In the big bowl, take along the sour cream, mayonnaise and Worcestershire sauce. Season with mustard, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Blend in blue cheese. Cover, and refrigerate for 24 hours before serving.
